Mitchell Elevator For Sale

January 14th, 2010

See another one out there selling an old elevator. The location of this unit is in Nevada.

I have an elevator from the late 1800’s in my bldg. I have the patents for it too. It is a Mitchell which of course is no longer in business since early 1900’s. It’s in good shape and I have pictures of it are attached. Please contact elevatorpreservation@gmail.com and we will put you in contact with the seller.

It’s difficult to put a price on an old elevator like the one you have. Some of the individual components may be worth more than the entire lift it self. Such as the pushbuttons, elevator enclosure and doors. You can post a classified ad over on http://www.elevatorgear.com, which is free, to see if anyone is interested or not.

Other than that, old elevators such as yours can’t be installed into newer buildings because they don’t meet current elevator code. When running in existing buildings they are typically grandfathered from needing to meet the uptodate codes.
