Geo T McLauthlin Elevator Company Pushbutton Plate?

Can you identify the markings on this plate?  Thanks to some very knowledgeable elevator experts we believe that it might be from the McLauthlin Company in Boston.  The trouble that we have is that we don’t have anything that 100% confirms that it is!

We believe the company originally was named “Geo. T. Mc Lauthlin” from Fulton Road in Boston. Many people say “Laughlin”, maybe because it sounds more familar with the English language. You’ll find some information on Mc Lauthlin in the web including some nice scans from their old catalogues in this post.

If anyone can provide more information please comment below! Thanks!

I suspect the plate may be that of John McLaughlin Elevator Company of Boston. Long gone. EW did a story on his building which was one of those in Boston with a plethora of iron grillwork – maybe 30 year ago. We had a fine evening of lobster but he was well along in years and has probably gone to the Great Penthouse in the Sky! – Bill
