A really nice lift – and I can see it is made by the gone “Medway’s Safety Lift Co.” of London (UK). The company was bought by J. & E. Hall of Dartford in 1925. In the first years after the takeover, the name “Medway’s” was still used as a sales-brand for lifts. From the early 1930ies on, all lifts were manufactured and installed under the name of J. & E. Hall. Medway’s was founded as the Albert Lift Works in 1880 and taken over in about 1901 by Matthew Thomas Medway, who had assigned some patents for the Albert Lift-Works before. (Everything as far as I recall…)
If the lift doesn’t get salvaged, I hope at least some of it’s components do.
